Jinhoon Jeon

Jin Hoon reinterprets the beauty of Joseon white porcelain in a contemporary context, focusing on the sense of vitality and the inherent materiality of clay, particularly in the process of creating moon jars.
During the making of moon jars, two separately thrown bowls are joined together while spinning in opposite directions. He perceives the delicate seam left by this process as an expression of the clay’s own will and life force.

Inspired by this, he moves beyond the conventional smooth and linear joints, instead embracing more fluid and organic forms in his work.
Through the inherent freedom of clay, he seeks to explore an ideal harmony and coexistence among living beings.
